PATRIOT BP 41 Chainsaw Chain Brake Handle Kit

Brake handle kit fits Patriot BP 41 and many other chainsaws. The brake handle is the hand guard mounted in front of the top handle, which operates the chain brake — when struck by kickback or pushed forward manually, it trips a brake band around the clutch drum, stopping the chain instantly. When the brake handle becomes loose, cracked, or its internal linkage wears, it may no longer trip the brake band reliably, meaning the chain brake could fail to engage during a kickback event. Fitting a replacement brake handle kit restores reliable chain brake activation.
