Oil drive pump with screws fits the McCulloch CS35, Partner 340S, 350S and 360S chainsaws. The oil drive pump is driven off the engine and meters bar and chain oil out to the guide bar, increasing oil flow as engine speed rises so lubrication keeps pace with chain speed. When the pump wears internally, its drive gear strips, or the pump seizes, oil delivery to the bar and chain drops off or stops entirely. This shows up as a dry, overheating bar, excessive chain wear, or visibly reduced oiling at the bar tip. Fitting a replacement oil drive pump restores correct oil delivery and protects the bar and chain from running dry.
