SCHEPPACH CSP2540 Chainsaw Fuel Tank Breather With Grommet

Fuel tank breather fits the Scheppach CSP2540 chainsaw and many other 25cc chainsaws. The fuel tank breather is a one-way valve fitted into the fuel tank cap or body that allows air to enter the tank as fuel is consumed, preventing a vacuum from building up inside. When the breather blocks or fails, negative pressure develops in the tank as the engine draws fuel — progressively starving the carburettor and causing the engine to lose power, run unevenly and eventually cut out mid-use. Cleaning or clearing the old breather is rarely effective once it has failed; fitting a replacement restores correct tank venting and consistent fuel delivery to the engine.
