PATRIOT BP 41 Chainsaw Rubber Intake Manifold With Bolts

Patriot BP 41 and many other chainsaws use this rubber intake manifold kit alongside the standard intake manifold, sealing a second point in the path between the carburettor and the cylinder. Made of flexible rubber to absorb engine vibration, it keeps the fuel-air mixture contained as it travels from the carburettor through to the cylinder. Rubber like this perishes and hardens over time, and once it starts to crack or split, it lets unmetered “false air” into the intake tract or allows the mixture to escape before reaching the cylinder — usually showing up as a hunting idle or an engine that runs lean no matter how the carburettor is set. Fitting a replacement kit reseals this section of the intake.
