The 3/8LP pitch is a narrower standard than the full 3/8″ pitch and the two are not interchangeable — always verify the pitch, gauge and drive link count against the existing guide bar and sprocket before ordering. A worn or stretched chain produces slow, ragged cuts, puts additional load on the engine and accelerates wear on the guide bar rails and sprocket teeth.
