SCHEPPACH CSP2540 Chainsaw Oil Pump Worm Gear & Washer

Oil pump worm gear and washer fits Scheppach CSP2540 and many other 25cc chainsaws. The worm gear sits on the crankshaft and drives the oil pump rotor to deliver bar and chain oil to the guide bar during cutting. Supplied with the washer, which locates the gear correctly on the shaft — both should be replaced together. Stripped or worn worm gear teeth disconnect the oil pump from its drive source, causing a dry guide bar even when the pump itself is undamaged. On compact 25cc saws the worm gear is often the first component to fail in the oil delivery system and should be inspected first when oil starvation is diagnosed.
