PATRIOT BP 41 Chainsaw Bumper Spike / Felling Dog With Screws

Bumper spike / felling dog fits Patriot BP 41 and many other chainsaws. The bumper spike is the toothed metal spur mounted at the front of the saw body, near the guide bar, giving the operator a pivot point to brace against the wood during cutting and helping control the saw as it’s tilted through a cut. When the spike bends, its teeth wear down, or it breaks off its mount, the saw loses that stable pivot point, making it harder to control the cut and increasing operator effort and fatigue. Fitting a replacement restores a solid pivot point for controlled cutting.
