OLEO-MAC GSH 400 Chainsaw Oil Pump Worm Gear & Washer

Oil pump worm gear with washer fits Oleo-Mac GSH400 and many other chainsaws. The worm gear is driven off the clutch drum and turns the oil pump, which meters bar and chain oil out to the guide bar with every revolution of the drum; the washer sits alongside it to keep the assembly correctly located. When the worm gear’s teeth wear or the washer goes missing or thins out, the pump’s drive can slip or run out of alignment, reducing or stopping oil delivery to the guide bar and chain and leading to a dry, overheating bar and accelerated chain wear. Fitting a replacement restores correct drive to the oil pump and consistent chain lubrication.
