Anti-vibration (AV) spring fits Husqvarna 435, 435E, 440, 440E, 445, 445E, 450 and 450E chainsaws. On these models, the engine unit and handle frame are connected through a series of metal coil AV springs rather than solid mountings, keeping engine and cutting chain vibration from reaching the operator’s hands during prolonged use. A broken or fatigued spring reduces the overall effectiveness of the vibration isolation system the affected mounting point becomes a direct transmission path for high-frequency vibration, which puts additional load on the remaining springs and accelerates their wear. Over time this leads to noticeably increased vibration at the handles, faster operator fatigue and the risk of hand-arm vibration syndrome with continued use. A new spring returns that mounting point to full isolation duty and takes the strain off the rest of the system.
