HUSQVARNA 340 345 350 JONSERED CS2141 CS2150 CS2245 Oil Drive Pump Worm Gear

Oil drive pump worm gear fits Husqvarna 340, 345 and 350 and Jonsered CS2141, CS2150 and CS2245 chainsaws. The worm gear is mounted on the crankshaft and meshes directly with the oil pump rotor, transferring drive to maintain a continuous flow of bar and chain oil to the guide bar during cutting. When the helical teeth strip or wear typically through abrasive contamination or prolonged dry running the oil pump loses its drive connection entirely. The saw will continue to run normally in all other respects, making a stripped worm gear easy to overlook as the cause of a dry bar. Inspecting and replacing the worm gear is the recommended first step when oil starvation is diagnosed, before replacing the full pump assembly.
