Oil filler cap fits Hecht 947, 957, Makita DCS460, DCS461, DCS500, DCS501, DCS4600, DCS5000, DCS5121, DE5045 and Dolmar PS-460, PS-500, PS-4600, PS-5000 chainsaws, replacing part numbers 947000070 and 170114100. The oil filler cap seals the bar and chain oil tank filler neck between top-ups, preventing oil from leaking out during operation and stopping debris from entering the oil tank. A cracked or poorly sealing cap causes bar oil to leak out during use, depleting the oil tank faster than normal and risking chain lubrication failure if left unchecked. The cap should be replaced at the first sign of cracking or if the seal no longer holds under the vibration of normal use.
