The top handle is the primary carrying and control grip positioned above the engine unit, used to support and manoeuvre the saw during operation. A cracked, broken or missing top handle makes the saw unsafe to carry and operate, and on these Chinese-platform saws it is a direct bolt-on replacement using the existing fixings. Fitting a new top handle restores correct grip geometry and safe control of the saw.
