The stop switch cover is the plastic protective cap that sits over the stop switch assembly, shielding it from sawdust, debris and mechanical damage during operation. When the cover is cracked, broken or missing, the switch internals are left exposed, which can lead to contamination and switch failure. Replacing a damaged cover restores proper protection of the stop switch assembly.
