Exhaust muffler kit fits Hecht 947, Makita DCS460, DCS461, DCS500, DCS501, DCS4600, DCS5000, DCS5121, DE5045 and Dolmar PS-460, PS-500, PS-4600, PS-5000 chainsaws, replacing part numbers 947000083 and 181174102. The exhaust muffler bolts directly to the cylinder exhaust port and directs combustion gases away from the engine and operator. A cracked, corroded or spark-arrested muffler restricts exhaust gas flow, reducing engine power and causing overheating at the cylinder head. A damaged muffler also creates a noise and fire hazard during operation. Supplied as a complete kit with all components needed for a direct swap. Fitting a replacement restores correct exhaust flow, protects the cylinder from heat build-up and returns the saw to safe operation.
