DOLMAR PS-180 PS-280 Complete Gasket Set

The Gasket Genius complete gasket set covers the four separate joints Dolmar PS-180 and PS-280 chainsaws need resealed at the top end: one crankcase gasket, one cylinder gasket, one exhaust muffler gasket and two carburettor gaskets. A tight crankcase seal is what allows this two-stroke engine to draw in and compress its fuel-air mixture; the cylinder gasket keeps combustion pressure contained at the cylinder-to-crankcase joint; the muffler gasket stops exhaust gases and backpressure escaping; and the carburettor gaskets prevent unmetered air from reaching the fuel-air mixture at the carburettor’s mounting faces. These are exactly the points a top-end rebuild disturbs, and reusing an old, worn gasket at any one of them tends to resurface later as hard starting, weak compression, an exhaust leak, or a hunting idle.
