DOLMAR PS-490 Complete Gasket Set

The Gasket Genius complete gasket set fits Dolmar PS-490 chainsaws, covering the main sealing points across this two-stroke engine — the crankcase, cylinder, exhaust muffler and carburettor mounting faces. The crankcase gasket maintains the seal needed to draw in and compress the fuel-air mixture; the cylinder gasket contains combustion pressure; the muffler gasket holds exhaust gases and backpressure; and the carburettor gaskets stop unmetered air upsetting the fuel-air mixture. All of these tend to get disturbed together during a rebuild, and a worn gasket left at any single point can bring back hard starting, weak compression, an exhaust leak, or a hunting idle.
